Welcome to Berbiglia, Kansas City's largest wine and spirits retailer. We are dedicated to offering the best variety of wine and spirits with unmatched customer service in the midwest.

Our Founder, Mike Berbiglia, began his childhood working in his father's grocery store but quickly decided there was no future in their cheap apples or day old bread. In 1917, at only 13 years old, he left his father's business and ventured out to open a store of his own. Although he had very little money he did have a new philosophy for how to best serve the public. Every morning young Mike made sure he was the first at the market in order to acquire the finest vegetables and the freshest fruit. Word spread that Mike Berbiglia had the best selection in town and the name became synonymous with quality. After two years, his father closed his store and came to work for his son - this was the beginning of our story.

Currently we have 11 wine and spirits stores throughout the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area and we are still as committed to quality as our founder was 95 years ago. We are no longer a grocer as our company now sells products that are associated with entertaining. This may seem simple, but it is an idea that we started over 25 years ago. At that time we could have branched out into other lines of retail and seriously considered being the first convenience store chain selling gas, batteries, and bread. But while everyone else was moving away from the fine wine and spirits business, we "Took the road less traveled". Looking back, we know we made the right decision.
